A confirmation email confirms your dates are available and contains payment details.  Only once the deposit has been paid is the booking secured.  Please note that we will only hold a booking slot open for 24 hours.

We ask that you read our terms and conditions, detailed below.

​

  • Both units are strictly No Smoking, both inside, or in the close. If you wish to smoke, we are happy for you to use the shared garden.  Any evidence of smoking within the flat will incur a £100 cleaning charge.

  • Ailsa View Take 2 is suitable for 1 small to medium dog, however Ailsa View 1 is not suitable for pets.   

  • No stag or hen parties.

  • We accept 4 people max, any more found to be staying the property will result in immediate eviction.  

  • Please familiarise yourself with the welcome booklet paying attention to the safety section.

  • We ask that you leave the flat in a clean and tidy condition, (as you found it).  At the end of your stay, please clean the cooker and grill pan, if used. A quick hoover is always appreciated, and please empty the bin.  We will arrive to clean the flat and  change the beds at ten, so check out, unless otherwise agreed, is always by ten o’clock. We would ask you to help us by stripping the beds and putting all the bedding and towels in the laundry bags we will supply for you, if you are able to do so. 

  • Please report any issues or breakages as soon as you notice them. .Any defects within the flat must be reported to us immediately, and we must be given the right to rectify any problems as soon as possible. We do live on the island and so, can respond very quickly.  No refunds will be given unless the fault is one that would materially affect your holiday, such as lack of water, electricity etc. Any refund will be discretionary after discussion with yourself.  We would ask that you do not leave a negative review until these discussions have taken place.

  • A deposit of  up to £100 is required to secure your holiday dates. We will advise you of the precise amount required to secure your dates when you contact us.  The remaining payment for your holiday is required 6 weeks before your holiday. Should you book a holiday at short notice with dates commencing within a month, payment in full is required at the time of booking.

  • Failure to pay the remaining portion of your holiday within the specified times will result in a cancellation, and no part of the deposit will be returned. We strongly advise that you take out holiday insurance to cover cancellation.

  • Should you be unable to take your holiday due to illness etc. We will do our best to secure a new booking to be able to issue you with a partial refund which will take into account any reductions we have had to offer to re-let and admin costs. We strongly advise that you take out holiday insurance.   

  • It is rare for the ferries to be off all day due to poor weather, however please do check prior to travelling (The calmac website or app).  We cannot be held responsible for the cancellation of ferry service and do advise taking out travel insurance.

  • Should the ferries go off while you are in Millport, please let us know immediately, depending on the next rental we may be able to extend your stay, however this is discretionary.  We will advise as best we can should you find yourselves in this  extremely rare position.

  • Please ensure your children are supervised at all times both in the apartments and in the entrance to the apartments.  We do ask that noise is kept to a minimum as the close is shared by other neighbours.  Quiet time is between 10pm and 8am.

  • Check in time is after four pm, and check out is at ten am. Any alteration to this is strictly by prior arrangement and dependent on the next rental. 

  • The Wifi signal cannot be guaranteed.

  • Privacy Policy. Any information will be securely stored, normally this would only be name and contact details. Should bank details be  required these would be destroyed immediately after transaction.  We will never share your email address or any other details with any third parties.
